Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (EPSE) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Eli Lilly and Company (LLC) to sell the U. S. patent rights to Vibramycin® (Sildenafil) for treating pulmonary arterial hypertension, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and pulmonary arterial hypertension in adults.
Vibramycin® (Sildenafil) is a prescription-only oral tablet for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. The U. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Vibramycin® for use in the U. as a treatment for erectile dysfunction. Vibramycin is available in 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, and 400 mg tablets as an oral tablet.
The agreement is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2019. Vibramycin is indicated in the treatment of ED and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Vibramycin is indicated in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension in adults. Vibramycin is also indicated in combination with other therapies for PAH.
